Drive times and routes from Ercan to every major destination

From Ercan's car park exit, the main routes split immediately. Lefkoşa city centre is roughly 25 minutes via the new ring road. Girne (Kyrenia) is 35–45 minutes through Lefkoşa and over the Beşparmak pass on the dual carriageway. Gazimağusa (Famagusta) is 60 minutes south-east through Lefkoşa on the eastern highway. Iskele and the Long Beach hotel strip (Caesar Resort, Noah's Ark, Kaya Artemis, Salamis Bay Conti) are 75 minutes via the same Mağusa route, then 15 minutes north along the coast. The Karpaz peninsula tip (Apostolos Andreas Monastery) is 2.5 hours from Ercan, all on paved roads. All routes are signposted in Turkish and English; the Lefkoşa ring road and the Mağusa highway are dual carriageway with 100 km/h limits. Petrol stations are dense around Lefkoşa and along all main routes. The new Mağusa highway has been a major upgrade compared to the old single-carriageway road and has shaved 15–20 minutes off the eastern transit.
